I am nicknamed "Funasshi-san" who lives in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, and loves fireworks.
The fireworks display throughout the country has been canceled due to the Covid-19 disaster. The fireworks shops that makes and launches fireworks have also been forced into a difficult situation. Under such circumstances, a lot of fireworks dealers in the country cooperated to "display fireworks all over the country" (fireworks displayed at the same time on June 1st nationwide without notifying the location in order to avoid crowding people), and some individual fireworks stores and local governments have launched crowdfunding. Thanks to that, we still can see fireworks all over the country.
I was wondering if there was anything I could do for the fireworks that have always moved and impressed me. At that time, I was invited by Mr. Shibuya, the founder of this association, to participate in the management of the Simulation Fireworks Competition.
The first thing I thought of as a competition event was a program with an assignment song. And I decided that song is not to be a major song, but a “meteor shower” by my friend singer-songwriter Tsutomu from Saga, who I support. The reason I decided this song was that I was interested in what kind of program each participant would make with the song they listened to for the first time, and I thought that the image of the song "Meteor shower" and the image of the meteor shower itself fit the fireworks.
